LetterMeister for iPhone

LetterMeister is a word puzzle game originally released for iPhone/iPad. The iOS version is available from the App Store or iTunes as usual. A beta version is available for Windows, Mac OS and Linux, downloadable from this page.

LetterMeister for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch

To get LetterMeister on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, download LetterMeister from the App Store in the usual way.

LetterMeister for Windows, Mac OS and Linux

A free beta version of LetterMeister is available for Windows, Mac OS and Linux. To run this desktop version, you will need to have a recent version of Java installed on your machine. If you'd don't have Java already, you can download Java free. You should download and install Java before downloading LetterMeister.

Click on the link below to download LetterMeister. Save it to a convenient place (e.g. your desktop, its own directoy etc) and double-click on it to play.

How to play LetterMeister

The basic idea is to rearrange the "crossword" grid of interlocking words by swapping pairs of letters at a time. Squares have colour codings to indicate the status (correct, incorrect, correct word but wrong place) of a given letter.

Language: playing the game in English, French, Spanish, German or Finnish

By default, LetterMeister uses English words. However, you can also currently play the game in French, Spanish and German in the iOS version, and additionally in Finnish in the desktop version.

Checking for updates

The desktop version of LetterMeister now includes a function to check for updates (see the File menu).

As with other iOS apps, you will automatically be notified of updates to LetterMeister for iPhone via the App Store.
